मानव विकासाची संकल्पना दृष्टिपथात ठेवून किंबहुना शिक्षणातील मुलींचा सहभाग वाढावा, त्यांची शैक्षणिक गळती थांबावी या दृष्टीने शिक्षण विभागाने मुलींच्या शिक्षणाला प्रोत्साहन देणाऱ्या अनेक योजना राबविण्यास सुरुवात केली. ‘विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी’ या शब्दात मुले आणि मुली अभिप्रेत असून काही योजना या खास मुलींसाठी आहेत. आदिवासी विद्यार्थी शाळेत येत नाहीत म्हणून या मुलांना शाळेत येण्याकरिता प्रोत्साहन मिळावे या उद्देशाने त्यांना विद्यावेतन देण्याची योजना शासनाने सुरू केली.
मानव विकासाच्या संकल्पनेत स्त्री आणि पुरुष यांना समान हक्क आणि संधी अभिप्रेत आहे. हीच मानव विकासाची संकल्पना दृष्टिपथात ठेवून, किंबहुना शिक्षणातील मुलींचा सहभाग वाढावा, त्यांची शैक्षणिक गळती थांबावी या दृष्टीने शिक्षण विभागाने मुलींच्या शिक्षणाला प्रोत्साहन देणाऱ्या अनेक योजना राबविण्यास सुरुवात केली. ‘विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी’ या शब्दात मुले आणि मुली अभिप्रेत असून काही योजना या खास मुलींसाठी आहेत. त्या सर्व योजनांची ही थोडक्यात माहिती.
शिष्यवृत्ती योजना
१) पूर्वमाध्यमिक व माध्यमिक शाळांमधील विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी खुली गुणवत्ता शिष्यवृत्ती
२) ग्रामीण भागातील विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी राष्ट्रीय शिष्यवृत्ती योजना (केंद्र सरकार)
३) ग्रामीण भागातील हुशार आणि पात्र विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी राज्य शासनाची खुली गुणवत्ता शिष्यवृत्ती
४) कनिष्ठ महाविद्यालयातील विद्यार्थ्यांना देण्यात येणाऱ्या शासकीय (खुल्या) गुणवत्ता शिष्यवृत्त्या
५) संस्कृत शिक्षण-माध्यमिक व उच्च माध्यमिक शाळांना भारत सरकारच्या शिष्यवृत्त्या
६) राष्ट्रीय भारतीय सैनिक महाविद्यालय, डेहराडून येथील सरकारी शिष्यवृत्त्या
